And It Just Gets Better

December 2nd life became more precious as a new little treasure came into our lives!  Zechariah William was born to our lovely daughter and son-in-law!

There was no way anyone could prepare us for the way we feel being grandparents.  What an absolute blessing it is.  We still love our grandpuppy Sasha Bear, but our precious grandson is such a little miracle and ray of sunshine from above!

Thirty - Really?

Last week my daughter turned 30!  Thirty---where did the time go?  My mom warned me about this.  I am thankful that she did too as I think it helped me treasure the moments more than I would have.  Ahhh this journey is challenging and exciting all at the same time!

I have a married daughter and she is 30!  I still feel 38.  Yes I know, the math doesn't add up.  My husband of 31 years will laugh and say hon, you still look in your 20's!  Bless him!

So I will take some time to reflect on the miracle of "her".  The precious bundle of joy that the Lord blessed us with 30 years ago.  With my endometriosis the specialist said they didn't know how I got pregnant.  We are so thankful the good Lord blessed us with this miracle baby!  After a tough "emergency c-section" she entered the world and our lives have never been the same.  She has brought so much joy and "life" to our lives. 

Do I feel like Cinderella today - - you bet!  I feel like Cinderella after the prince placed the shoe on her foot!

Little Girls

Yes, I have to admit that I am one of those 60's kids.  The ones that grew up with The Brady Bunch, My Three Sons, Leave It To Beaver and I Love Lucy.  But...as a little girl my favorites were Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.  The movies where the girl always got the handsome prince and they lived "Happily-Ever-After".

This is what I thought life was going to be for me and all those dear to me.  It was the perfect Storybook life.  Weren't we all going to be Cinderella's?  We would all meet our perfect prince and be swept off our feet, wouldn't we?
